R.I.P. Joe Frazier

I'm from Philly and actually met him in the mid-70's after three friends and I pulled up next to his limo in downtown Philly at 3 A.M. He put down his rear window and shook our hands and talked to us for some 5 minutes. Not too shabby for a World Heavyweight Champion. What a great person. He will be missed around here for sure.

Yup, another Icon from my childhood. Those were the days when people were counting down the days and hrs for those famous boxing matches to be live screened on TV. I remember just a little bit of Frazier vs Clay (or Ali). But, I do know it was the talk of the city here.

Rest in Peace, and it was good to have you being a part of my life's history.

you know Joe lived and trained in Philly and also his archrival Ali lived for a long time across the river in Cherry Hill South Jersey.
