    John Saunders, one of the familiar on-air faces of ESPN for nearly 30 years, has died.

    He was easily one of the best sports commentators. He kept it simple and reported the news instead of trying to make it about himself instead.

    RIP Howard Cosell thread of course. Anybody on TV who dies gets a thread here on BC.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he died long before BC started.

    Cosell was more of a pompous ass who liked to use big words (mostly to make his ex-jock co-hosts look stupid).
