Racism rears its ugly head

You don't have a clue. Get your head out of the sand and study a little bit of history.

I respect your right to disagree but I don't understand your style of response. was there some point of what I said that you disagreed with? Is there something that prevents you from being able to articulate that point? As a staff member here should your disagreement with my point be more specific rather then an attack on me?

you on the other hand continue to live up to your name. otherwise the diversionary tactic employed by jones and his lap dog has been duly noted.

Put this in your history book...Al Sharpton just got a 70% salary raise !!

@jilliankaym..... Al Sharpton got a 70 percent raise from his nonprofit last year, bringing his compensation above $412,000, according to new tax records filed last week. The leading nonprofit watchdog, Charity Navigator, says $150,000 is the median compensation for the top executive at comparable organizations. At more than $412,000, Sharpton’s compensation “is far beyond what we see in charities of this size,” even on the East Coast, says Charity Navigator’s spokeswoman, Sandra Miniutti.

he worked hard keeping the races fighting each other. he was also rewarded with frequent trips to the white house.
master lets him sleep in the big house when he does good work.

You wrote race relations are worse now than at any time in history.
Most people with commen sense and a grasp of our history would beg to differ with you.
Start by googling lynchings, segregation, KKK, black church bombings, what happens to blacks who try to vote, date a white person, sit in the front of a bus, etc.
I grew up during the race riots and Freedom Marches. Today's race relations pale in comparison to much of the 60's.

You do have to admit that there has not been the level of progress that we all hoped for.

We have quite a ways to go yet but I believe significant progress has been made since the 60's. Some will never change, however I see light at the end of the tunnel in the younger generations beliefs.

I congratulate you on being able to define an opinion unlike others here. I too have lived various stages of race relations over the decades. I too think we should be able to say that while there is work to be done conditions have improved over the years.

unfortunately I cant. the youth of which you speak of highly in another post have actually made things much worse. Race baiting is at an all time high. Since many cities now are exclusively led by minorities racism is defined as being institutional to avoid the complications of not being able to find a white public official to blame.

where there is no racism in the classic context racism is created and the narrative runs unchallenged by todays media. Thus a Hispanic neighborhood watch nut who confronts a pot smoking black delinquent , get his but kicked by the kid and then pulls a gun and shoots him in self defense is initially presented as a white police officer shooting an innocent child.

Blacks who have become successful in life and now feel guilty that they are not living the racism battle thus create events and write scathing commentary on them as a black professor did who was exercising with headphones in the street and almost run over. She wrote her scathing commentary when police stopped her out of concern for her safety only to then be revealed to be a liar by the police officers dash cam.

Do we need to speak of the 'hands up don't shoot campaign' created as a result of dishonest eye witness accounts of a 'child' who had just committed robbery by physical intimidation in a store before trying to wrestle a gun out of a police officers holster and was thus shot?

So we have a young black man start a ruckass at Missouri and go on hunger strike protesting "white privilege' only to discover that he is in fact the son of a successful multi millionaire who has enjoyed the best life has to offer and should not therefore have any gripes. I would not mind trading in my white privilege for his.

So while we should be able to say that things are so much better then they were a new wave of race baiters wont allow us to get along. A black president and black AG should allow us to celebrate our improvements as a society but they instead feed and encourage those same race baiters to keep things stirred up and to keep us at each others throats. And many of those new race baiters come from those ranks that you hope will help us improve, todays youth.

Maybe things have gotten better for black americans who wish to use the leverage they have to get School administrators fired and politicians kissing their but . But for white America we see people of color get preferential hiring , preferential promotions , they have their president , AG , and many other positions of prominence and still they are not happy. why are they not happy? Because white liberals have created a class of dependency. So economically black America is presently doing worse then under any other president ever. White liberals have intentionally created this class of dependency to ensure black America is forced to continue to vote into power the guys who will supply them with their government provided lifestyle they are now addicted to. Maybe they're not being lynched anymore but you're still keeping them locked up on a white persons plantation. In some ways black Americas anger is correct their just hating the wrong white people.

While the conditions of race relations have changed over the years its hard to say they have gotten any better. There are too many forces manipulating the conditions that wont allow them to get any better. The politics of socialism and liberalism demand that we all keep fighting and arguing with each other to ensure they stay in power.
