Anyone else remember when nothing would be open on Sunday.........
People would actually go to the car lots on Sunday to look around in peace & quiet.....no salesmen to bother them. There was always a chain across the drive but you could step over it.....just couldn't drive onto the lot. Plenty of street parking on a Sunday.

There was a time here when you couldn't even buy gasoline.

I remember gas stations were one of the few places open. The big chain gas stations that is. The mom and pop ones were closed.

There was no self serve gas here then either. All full serve. Then to stations with option of full serve or self serve which was a little cheaper. Then to current virtually all self serve.

You might as well go to church, because there wasn't any where else to go.

Ghost town.......

Run over the hose, bell would ring, here they came.
Someone now would think they were about to be carjacked.

Had the metal case sitting on the pump island that held oil cans. When is the last time you saw oil in a can?

..... and the gas pumps with the lighted glass globe on top.
