Smaller fish eat just as well, if not better. I like to release good sized fish so they can grow and be caught again. A healthy, larger fish also lays more eggs.

From my experience smaller fish are better eating. Most everything I catch now days is released. I'm even getting too lazy to clean fish. In fact I'm getting to lazy to fish.

I have not been on here in quite a long time, just checking in because of News stories about Central States retirees getting the shaft and quarterly earnings released.

8 years retired and I wonder how I had time to get everything done for 36 years while I worked. We average almost 75 nights a year away from home. I volunteer in 4 different organizations, 6 grandchildren that need spoiled. Heading South in January 2016 to get out of the cold and snow till March.

Enjoy it, you earned it.

Is 60 years old close to retirement? Most likely not at UPS. 10 more years to go.
Retiring at 70? Props to you but I think if most people waited until 70 to retire from ups, they'd be either dead or close to it after retirement. I don't how you do it but good luck that ten years goes quick.

If I'm not out by 58 with good financial planning and such, then I have nothing to be mad at but myself. So much more to life out there than UPS.

I plan on living for all of it.

Retirement would mean I'm 55, why would I want to hurry and lose 15 years of my life. Granted I talk to other drivers about retirement but it's just to keep my head in the game of putting the max into my Roth. Looking around at all the late 50 guys at our hub with zero retirement and hoping the pension will be enough is good enough to know I'll be ok. If I hated working here, sure, I'd wish I could retire ASAP, but if I felt that way all the time I'd find another job.
How do you know what others drivers have in there savings. I'm in that over 55 group and have kept my business to myself.. I may act poor but am in good shape. You cant judge by what you dont know.. On the other hand, you are very wise to max your roth and 401 k..
