I just tried to reapply to ups for a driving position and it said I was not eligible for rehire. WTF!!!

Why do you say that?
If your worked during peak. You have to wait till after Mar 2 before you can re-apply for a job. That is if you wren't put on the no rehire list becasue of sub par performance. This is becasue if your work during peak and they rehire you with the first 60 days of the New year your senority date goes back to the date you first started working at UPS.
If you want a career with UPS apply for that package handler job otherwise you will most likely (99%) be a temp driver just like you were temp help during peak.
