Nah, I prefer to be on the right side of history! Aren't you glad those radical, bleeding heart lefties signed medicare in the 60's and social security in the 30's? Hope you never need medical from retirement until medicare kicks in.

So how is that Medicare and SS doing right now for our govt and taxes? But lets not fix them even though they cost way more then our govt told us they would. Instead of fixing something that is broke lets just make another program that will put the country deeper in debt. So will obamacare be the first govt program that will cost what they said it will?????? I know ive asked this question many times, but i will ask it again: has there ever been a govt program that cost what they said it would? I never get an answer...i wonder why?:wink2:

I don't think this tax on the poor and small business will be so revered.

Baba, are you at it again? You guys still haven't gotten Obama's birth certificate. So signing these little do-hickies on the internet forces the government to act how? Or is it a feel good kinda thing? Couch potato activism?

REBELLION IN AMERICA
Health-care mandates could be 'null and void'

By Drew Zahn © 2010 WorldNetDaily

A group of Americans who believe the federal government overstepped its constitutional bounds in passing the recent health-care legislation is rallying allies to a bold and controversial initiative: state nullification of the federal law.
"Now that health-care reform has been signed into law, the question people ask most is, 'What do we do about it?'" said Michael Boldin, founder of the Tenth Amendment Center, in a statement. "The status quo response includes lobbying Congress, marching on D.C., 'voting the bums out,' suing in federal court and more. But the last 100 years have proven that none of these really work, and government continues to grow year in and year out."
Instead, the Center is reaching back into the history books to suggest states take up "nullification," a controversial measure that would essentially involve states saying to the federal government, "Not in our borders, you don't. That law has no effect here."

The Center is partnering with WeRefuse.com to announce release of model nullification legislation for states, called the Federal Health Care Nullification Act, and a call for 100,000 Americans to join a state-by-state petition to prompt legislators into action.

And a larger group of Americans democratically cleaned your clock at election 08" , and one of the promises was better access to HealthCare.

Repeal the derogatory name "Obamacare" and maybe we won't call your friends "TeaBaggers"....

I think ObamaCare name is a farce and complete ripoff. I try and avoid the term because I want the real father of our healthcare plan to get full credit. It's RomneyCare not ObamaCare and let's face it, if Obama is such an idiot and no nothing, why give him any credit it all. I say we embrace the true name and that's RomneyCare!

Republicans allowed FDR and the democrats to hijack the whole idea of the New Deal and make it their own from Hoover and now the great savior of healthcare is being hijacked from the republicans. If republicans just had the courage to embrace history and the truth, it would be clearly seen that they in truth are not the party of No when it comes to big, expansive gov't. They should come out of the closet!

Besides, if republicans were consistent in their so-called defense of all things free market and opposed to public (they read socialist or in very limited cases monopolist options if you will) systems, would they not have stood up long ago and worked to kill the monopoly postal service and it's protected 1st class mail system?
:wink2:

Come to think of it, maybe hiding the truth is the whole point!

When are you right wing tea party nuts going to understand that the new healthcare reform LAW is here to stay. There is ZERO chance of repealing the law, there is ZERO chance of the the supreme court reversing this new LAW, there is ZERO chance of the republicans taking the house, senate and white house in 2010 and 2012.

Look, lets give you all a lesson in math.

Even if you tea party kooks got 1 million signatures, what actual percentage of americans would that represent??

Well,, there are 400 million americans in this country, and 1 million would be .002 of 1 PERCENT or 2 thousanths of 1 percent. This is not even considered a "DROP IN THE BUCKET" in american representation.

On this thread, Ive seen the tallies posted somewhere at 140K....so If 1 million is not enough to equal a raindrop in a rainstorm, how is 140K something to brag about?

You guys crack me up. TDU or Too Dumb to Understand.

Peace.

Maybe there is 0% chance of repealing, BUT, with a change come Nov. 2010, there's a good chance it can be 'not funded'.
