Rights for Employees regarding security?

Huh.

Maybe I should have questioned it more when they put a stripper pole in the guard shack. We were told it was to make searching a more 'heart healthy' activity. It is a surprising amount of work to slide up a pole, hang upside-down and shake to show our pockets are empty.


Well, at least you are being compensated. I am assuming the gaurd gives you at least a dollar if you do it correctly...

I heard a center was shuttling low seniority drivers/peak driver to and from work from an off site park and ride, and that these drivers were being compansated or their time waiting for the shuttle that UPS had provided for them. Would seem to reason that if UPS is insrtucting you, an employee to perform a task then you should be compaensated. The security is acting as an agent for UPS, insrtucting you to perform a task?
