STUG- From Long Island- Ten minutes from Jones beach. Favorite restaurant ( Don Pepe's) is in Queens not too far from Brooklyn. Have friends in Neponset section of Brooklyn.

Ahhh, good old Jones beach, where even in the heat of the summer, it's a run in and run out experience.:happy-very:

My daughter just completed her first 5k. I'm so proud of her!
Did I mention that she's only 5 years old?
She finished in 39:25 and here she is.
Did I mention how proud I was of her?

Nope, not a one. She's not even sore, yet.
She'll be getting the Mom and Dad massage tonight.

LOL, I just did, 9/5, thanks. I know I mentioned it before,
but here I go again. She loves the eyeball, LOL.:happy2:
Steve, has anyone told you...YOU ARE A LUCKY MAN!
It does my heart so good to see a Dad so involved with his children.

Steve that is really great!

Word of caution though, make her take it easy on those little knees. My step daughter played volleyball in elementary and it was really bad on her knees.

This is how I keep in shape

I'm too fat and heavy to run unless a larged toothed animal is chasing me, but this is how I try to keep in shape; by cutting, splitting and stacking all my own firewood. I split huge green oak rounds with a maul, a sledgehammer and a wedge. Its a great cardio workout, has me sucking wind in no time. I currently have over 5 cords in my backyard, and enough green oak rounds to keep me busy for the rest of the summer. I try to put in at least half an hour a day. Plus I save huge $$ on my heat bill, I have a 2000 square foot house and the only money I spend to heat it is gas for my truck and chain saw.

I have the el cheapo cell phone that came free with my yearly Verizon plan. I dont want a phone that I have to stress over or worry about if I drop it. A cell phone on a UPS truck lives a hard life, so all I need is the basics. I also own a digital camera, but I need to have my teenager teach me how to use it!:whiteflag:

My 4 year old grandson just saw the "eyeball" for the first time and I had to go back and show him more "eyeballs." He also liked seeing Dory from Finding Nemo.

Great cardio workout. How the heck can you possibly be even remotely chubby with all the exercise you get?

Well I dont drink or use drugs. I dont use tobacco. I dont gamble much and I dont look at porn. What I do like to do...is eat. I eat too much and I eat the yummy stuff that I'm not supposed to have.:whiteflag:
