Rush Limpbaugh getting the cold shoulder from the NFL!

One might think Rush would say that the right wing has failed a major test by refusing to back him. Or maybe you might think he would take a different tack and accept personal responsibility for why a group of Billionaire Conservatives wouldn't want his presence affecting their bottom line.
But no. Rush instead had this to say about why his defeat occurred:
"This is about the future of the United States of America and what kind of country we're going to have.....This is the latest assault on people who believe in rugged individualism and liberty and freedom who threaten the whole notion of state control tyranny and central authority which is typified by the Obama administration and the Democrat Party."
It boggles the mind. For starters, blame it on Obama...lol Rush, your an idiot, a rich one at that. Secondly, someone who claims a belief in rugged individualism and rails against "victim politics" while he preaches personal responsibility, it was almost jarring to hear Rush whine about "tyranny" on the left when it was his compadres on the right who just said NO.
Let's be absolutely clear: there is nothing in the First Amendment that covers the right to own an NFL team. Owners have the right to protect their brand and Rush needs to deal with the fact that in 21st century America, outside of AM Hate Talk Radio, he is a liability and not an asset.
He may want to reconsider and make a bid as the NFL Drug CZAR....

OR, maybe Rush just went about this all wrong. After all, this is a man who once said:
"Holocaust? Ninety million Indians, only 4 million left? They all have casinos...what's to complain about?"
Maybe he should have tried to just buy the Redskins instead.
I gotta say that really is pretty delusional. I wonder if he really believes that or if he's just trying to protect his more fragile listeners from the truth?

Jones,

Don't talk reality to these people.

They think insurance companies are out to help them, and deregulation of the banking industry helps the guy on 'Main St'.

We deserve what we get. Thank goodness, this incarnation is better than the last, but still not what I'd want in a 'Perfect, happy world*'

Worked for whom?

I'd also bet that you use one of the 'Baby Bells' for you phone service, and are paying more for it.

Deregulation of the telephone industry has not been a win for the consumer.

Next.

You are telling me that competition within the telephone industry has not been good for the consumer?

:anxious:Shame on Goodell and the NFL. At least have a full hearing with evidence presented and then let the jury(the owners} vote before executing Rush.
I agree with you, let there be a full hearing, let them DRAG out all his comments ever made over the years, post all his "writings" ever posted on his own web site, let him sit in a chair and explain everyone of his derogatory comments made towards any black person on his show for all to see. Put it on FAUX news live so the robots can actually see justice in action. Let him explain how his "skits" of black people dont offend the millions of blacks in this country.
I'd PAY TO SEE THAT.

It is obvious that his political views kept him from being part of the NFL.
DUH!

Is it not what minorities have been fighting against for years. Judge a person by his race, creed or political beliefs.
NO IT ISNT. Have you lost your mind? Did you skip american history in school? He is being judge for his lack of character and integrity. He is being judge for being a lighting rod for stupidity.

All sorts of people that have been CONVICTED of crimes are allowed to participate in the league. What was Rush convicted of ????
How about drug possession? How about illegally bringing in prescription drugs without a prescription? He was convicted and has a criminal record.

Look at the latest partial owner of the dolphins --FERGIE --very talented singer but extreme filthy lyrics in some of her songs ---and just recently claimed that all of our hard working CIA people are terroists ?????
She makes no such claim that "all" CIA are terrorists. But then again, "some" of them kill people for a living without cause and without prosecution. Thats what they do, and in other countries who dont condone such actions, they can be labeled "terrorists". When our CIA operatives assassinate a head of state in a foreign country, would that not be an act of terrorism?

Fergie is in --Rush is out ??? Disgraceful !!
What is disgraceful is his attempt to put his fat overpaid face on a sport where the majority of players are a minority, and that minority is his particular favorite source of hate speech. For what its worth, al sharpton and jesse jackson may be idiots to white america for there own "actions", but to the african american population, they are community leaders and respected men. Just because the two have done some things that make them less than professional, it doesnt give RUSH the right to make fun of them over and over daily by imitating there voices and actions. This has been construed as offensive by the black community and they are outraged over these types of antics on the radio.

Its no secret why the black players in the NFL see him as a threat to the sport.

The absolute disgrace is ANYONE trying to defend him.

Don't burst his bubble.

Eyes being opened for the first time can be blinding.

The NFL is Marxism in action, LOL!

Why do you think a different team wins each year?

Do you even watch any NFL games? Why do teams like the Lions never make it to the playoffs while others like the Colts make it every year? Perhaps you are referring to the taxpayer money just about every NFL team uses to build their huge stadiums, of which I am not in total agreement with, but you obviously do not know the correct definition of Marxism if you are applying it to the NFL.

Michael Vick
Adam Jones
Tank Johnson
Donte Stallworth
Charles Rogers
Koren Robinson
Plaxico Burress

Just a few names that are a danger to society. That the nfl should be worried about. All thugs on my list.

These are some people that should not be part of the NFL (felons and flat out thugs)...Sad that there is more scrutiny over becoming a part owner of an NFL franchice (where you really wouldn't have any authority) than becoming president.

D,

I'm gonna borrow from your post in order to have some fun just for the laughs. Hope you don't mind and appreciate the humor as well.

This is the latest assault on people who believe in rugged individualism and liberty and freedom who threaten the whole notion of state control tyranny and central authority

:happy-very:

We laugh but it really is true IMO!
