The 1,000,000 covers my driver and truck. FedEx cover damage to to other persons or property so long as vehicle is on duty.

Right. I believe it's called indemnity insurance and is very, very expensive.

A few hundred bucks a year. I know alot of people that own their own businesses....they all say Insurance, insurance and more insurance!

Because it's their DOT number. It's the real reason they won't let contractors run under their own DOT number. The expense would be considerable.
