Scavengers - What have you found...

8 Hour Day

At least 10 bikes (I forward them to a charity that fixes then for poor kids)...

Several wallets, a framing hammer, two hacksaws, 8 foot step ladder, two nice patio chairs that appeared brand new, a Little Tikes playset I gave a friend, two cell phone chargers, a set of something like 6 Ryobi battery powered tools minus the batteries. I gave those to a contractor friend, a pedestal sink we installed in our old house... etc etc... it helps that I deliver to some of the wealthiest people in the country. They throw almost anything away. Sloppy seconds aren't so sloppy when they've never been used.

I was taking my break in the shade behind a movie theater last week and found a used condom right there on top of the curb by some bushes. Decided to leave that one there.

Don't really think I've found anything very cool. A couple times I've seen some decent things at the end of someone's driveway but it didn't say FREE or anything so didn't want to chance that. My luck I'd end up on youtube "stealing" someones dresser from their driveway.

I got a 50 gallon and a 20 gallon aquarium for free yesterday out of a customer's recycling pile. Didn't load them in my PC, I asked if I could take them then came back after work and snagged them up in my truck. Now my beardie will have a bigger home.

I've noticed that with my resis, houses start out at 450k and they throw away a lot of stuff. Nothing I need or really want yet except the two aquariums I snagged up yesterday but I'm there everyday looking for new bargains.

Many, many years ago I picked up a bike cabana from the curb while in uniform after work (personal vehicle). Fixed it up and used it for my kids for a couple of years. Kids grew to big and I put it at the curb at night. Next morning after work (in FedEx uniform) I arrive at home, a UPS driver (on the job making a delivery) who lives a few blocks away is looking it over. I took the time to quickly show him how it attaches to a bike. He complained it had a flat tire and a tear (small) in the cover and would pick it up after work. I was tired and laughed at his comments! He went on his way. I patched the inner tube and sold it at the community garage sale for 20 bucks! Being a UPS driver had no bearing on my decision, just that he was a jerk. I swear that my UPS deliveries come later in the day or next day now. :-)

Last week I rolled up 5 $100 bills and put them inside a freshly unwrapped condom, smeared mayonnaise all over it and tossed it onto a curb next to some bushes behind a movie theater.
I wonder who the lucky SOB was who found it.

Does that mean Dano has $500 up his rear end?

I know a driver that released and Ipad, came back later in the day and thought someone must have not wanted it because it was still there. Morons are everywhere.

I found a box of puppies on the side of the road in the snow before. People at the station already adopted them by the time I came back.

Bouquet of flowers in an empty parking lot. They went to the wife. A week later, a bouquet of flowers again in the same spot.

2 computers that were similar so I put the RAM and hard drives into one to make a decent porn machine. What?

Booyah! Everything is fine, just a broken plastic handle to shift it to neutral on the downhill...

Sweet! Now my transit has shelves so I can preload my van more efficiently #sarcasm

Nah, i don't have room for that type of shenanigans, I don't deliver envelopes all day long. These are going into the basement for storing Xmas stuff

A company on my route did a remodel. They were throwing out their assembly stations. Big work benches, steel legs, row of receptacles on the back.
Snagged two, gave one to a friend.
