Seniority and Benefits - What's Next?

As of the 29th, I'll make the seniority list at my center. With the amount of bulk I get keeping me busy, and the pressure to get off the clock when I'm done, I haven't had much of a chance to talk to my supervisor about what all this means. He said today that when I make the list, my time will start counting towards benefits. Can someone please point me in the direction of some information on this, and maybe help me understand what exactly all this means?

Try UPSers.com, if you haven't registered yet you will need your employee Id number. Also, try to get a copy of your local union contract, it will have some info too. You may be getting some info in the mail about medical insurance, dental and other stuff..

Thanks for the help. I am registered at UPSers and have researched there. Also, as a PTer I thought UPS handled our benefits, not the union. In fact, I'm not even in the union.

I'll continue to watch the mail. As I understand it, medical stuff comes 30 days after making the list? (I'm in Florida, heard its different state by state.)

Wow Gator ," not even in the Union" , but yet you want the benefits that my fellow Teamsters and myself have fought for . What is up with this , want everything for free,right now generation ? Some things you have to be involved in to get to where you want to go in life . How about joining the Teamsters , nobody should get a free ride that the rest of us pay for , kinda like the mouchers of the government welfare system . Paying your dues will not break you , I hope you dont need to file a grievance ,or want good representation when you are in adispute with management, and there is a big difference between a members representation and a scabs, and many on this site will not admit it . Imagine if you will having a "public defender vs. a top notch lawyer , we all know how those situations go . Sorry if I came down on you to hard , and maybe you just havent joined yet , but it rubs me wrong when someone wants something for nothing .

Great,,,,,thanks..... It took a month before my wife came to grips with walking in on me watching the link sent to me for 2 girls and cup.
