Sleeping on the belt

So I'm in school Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a class from 8-11 AM and on Wednesday and Friday the sort typically starts at 1:30 pm. I don't have time to do much after my class lets out so usually I just go right to work and have nothing to do so what I've been doing is I get to work and no one is on the floor because preload gets done around 9 am and I just secure and verify the belt on my PD and take a nap on the belt. Well on Friday I guess I forgot to secure the belt and they turned it on up front and it didn't wake me up so I was sleeping and I rode down to the end of the belt and slid down the shute and onto the rollers and I made such a noise that one of our specialist supervisors heard it and came in and saw me so I explained what happened and I was wrote up and they sent me home for the day. Am I going to be fired or what? I explained it was an accident and I just forgot the secure the belt but he was PISSED at me. What's going to happen?

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Why do you even need a nap?

I worked from 4pm ~ 9 am when I did preload. Had a 1-2 break between jobs. Never napped.

Get to bed at a reasonable time at night and you should be fine. I
Assume you're a young college kid.

That’s Craptacular
You're lucky you werent hurt. Enough injuries occur while walking on the belts and slides on the clock. What you did was moronic....lesson learned. Don't ever do it again. They fires a seasonal unloader on the spot last peak who thought it would be funny to ride on the back of the bulk cart (bulk trains).

We used to play a game called "belt bowling" on black Friday no less. But sleeping on the belt and sliding down the shoot that's a real pisser. You were not stealing so you "probably" will get to keep your job maybe a couple of days off though.
