So quick to forget

Ok..... This one is for the part time sups out there. How many of you were promised two extra d days this year for scheduling yourselves off last year on Christmas and neW years because they fell on a Saturday and they didn't want to have to pay double time since they already had to with the hourlies. Instead they promised those two extra days and now "conveniently" have forgotten. Well ptrs and pay stubs don't lie. so if u were promised the same I encourage you to take what's yours as I Have. Those are your days use them. Otherwise it's like you're just donating your time for free.

Take one for the team? I don't think so. This is a job same as any other. All I'm asking for is a fair shake. All I want is what's rightfully mine and I'm going to get it. You can take one for the team if you want but I'm not going to let myself be amen advantage of. You cleary have much to learn about sticking up for yourself. Me giving away free days does not come with the tie and you're a m

Did you get those promised days off in writing?
I doubt it.
Maybe you ought to get yourself a union so you can have your benefits defined in a contract?
When you "took what was rightfully yours" did you let your superior know or did you call in sick?

BTW us hourlies didn't get two additional days off either.
We got 8 hrs holiday pay for each of those days.

BEWARE OF VERBAL CONTRACTS, THEY AREN'T WORTH THE PAPER THEY AREN'T WRITTEN ON.

You should use an option 3 day next time.

Ps. The way it sounds to me you scheduled yourselves off yet worked in order to avoid the double time pay rate applied to your checks. In return for your deceit, upper management was going to award you with extra days instead. But now management does want to uphold their end of the bargain in return for your loyalty and willingness to screw yourselves.

Sounds like you got exactly what you deserve for trying to cheat yourselves.

Like it or not I took my days. I didn't call in sick either. That would be a lie hence an integrity issue. I clearly informed them I was taking a day and even though I was over the original five I explained why I was going over. I've got the pay stubs and ptrs reports to prove it as mentioned earlier. I still have one more d day left and intend to use it on the very last day possible. The Wednesday before thanksgiving. I simply posted this so others who might find themselves in the same situation would know what recourse to take so they wouldn't find themselves "taking one for the team" that's rich. When DID you get promoted. Haha nite everyone

Funny you mention integrity in your post yet you blatantly lied about not being at work when you were for the holidays. Now you come here telling others how you're owed two days off because you lied for the companies benefit so they wouldn't have to pay you double time. You and the management you made this "deal" with are a fine examples of what's wrong with management today. Lieing, cheating, and number mixing to meet a goal, at whatever the cost be it dishonest or the like. Integrity indeed

My center's two driver supervisors and center manager were escorted to their cars yesterday for their integrity....or lack thereof.

Actually jack Burton u assumed I went in and scheduled my self off. Be carefully when making assumption o great ups conspiracy theorist. I did not work. They simply didn't pay us for those days in exchange for extra days next year. Sounds like ur a disgruntled steward jack. Maybe one day you'll find the ups holy Grail jack.

No matter how you cut it, it's falsification of documents you agreed to go along with. As far as being a steward, you did what you told me not to do, assume. I'm no steward, just another number in the long list that calls management out for hypocrisy. Then to top it all off you decided to respond to me with a poorly written post barely legible. Yep, you are just what UPS management is all about nowadays, your postings say it all.

If looking to hold your kind accountable to the same standards we as drivers are held to, then that proverbial "holy grail" is something that I will continue to seek as long as I'm here.

For those inquiring minds, unethical delivery practices along with not reporting four accidents involving damage led to the dismissal of our management team. For future reference, it is NOT ok for a driver to take the package car he has "crushed" the bumper of to his buddy's body shop and have it repaired at no cost to the company. No good ever comes from hiding the truth. Three careers, all with thirty years or more service with the company ended.

all drivers like u are looking for is a a tcd to drive before you so u can file a grievance on his hours and not have to do the work yourself. ive seen your kind come and go jack burton, and like i said come and go. evryone has their secrets especially guys like you that are so quick to point out others short comings. youll get yours soon. guys like you always do. all i have to say is karma is some beach man. and as for my poor spelling earlier its called a smart phone. something you guys are constantly on while behind the wheel. try keepin your eyes on the road instead of everyone else
