If you are talking about the 6 hired from inside to 1 from the outside and that one being a partime supervisor. That would be an off the street hire. They keep there company seniority for vacation weeks accrued and pension only.

So........ If there is no eligible person to bid on a outside hire job, does it then go to an off the street hire?

Yes.......If there is no eligible person (who is not a member of the Teamster bargaining unit, such as: a part time supervisor, or employee represented by another union like IAM, or a non-union clerk, etc.), a Teamster job designated to be filled by an outside (the bargaining unit) hire could go to someone 'off the street'.

Does this go for FT Specialist jobs as well?
