TeamCare and the NorthEast

Greetings,

Is everyone getting Teamcare? When we voted on the contract, I remember people saying the insurance aspect of the new contract had no effect on members in the North East because we already got our insurance through the Teamsters. But looking at the Master Agreement and our supplement, there is nothing that shows we are not entering into Teamcare as well. Can someone please clear this up for me?

Upstate, that is what I thought. Where is this spelt out though? There is a guy at our hub running around telling everyone that they are getting moved into Teamcare using article 34 of the Master as evidence. Our supplement doesn't say anything so was looking for something concrete that made the distinction on who was getting moved and who wasn't.

The language with the line through was from the previous contract and has been changed in the newly ratified one.
