    Greetings,

Is everyone getting Teamcare? When we voted on the contract, I remember people saying the insurance aspect of the new contract had no effect on members in the North East because we already got our insurance through the Teamsters. But looking at the Master Agreement and our supplement, there is nothing that shows we are not entering into Teamcare as well. Can someone please clear this up for me?

You are already covered by a Teamster plan---your coverage will not change.

Upstate, that is what I thought. Where is this spelt out though? There is a guy at our hub running around telling everyone that they are getting moved into Teamcare using article 34 of the Master as evidence. Our supplement doesn't say anything so was looking for something concrete that made the distinction on who was getting moved and who wasn't.

You are not changing healthcare plans.

    Article 34 section 2

Section 2. Part-Time Medical Coverage Central States Southeast and Southwest Areas Health & Welfare Fund (CSH&W)

    (a) Part-time and full-time employees covered by a Teamster Health and Welfare Fund will continue to be covered by those funds.

What does the strike through line mean?

The language with the line through was from the previous contract and has been changed in the newly ratified one.

Scottyhawk What is it? A brown box. Duh

Local 177 and western region will be on a separate health plan, not teamcare
