Teamsters Approved Mailing

That's the point that I was trying to make. Our local does this and I always give our BA a hard time about it whenever I see him. It is my right as a consumer to pick and choose whom I wish to do business with. I don't recall anything in the union membership paperwork about forced solicitation.
do you giggle like a school girl when ups sends you their junk,or the wisconsin brotherhood of right to workers and socialists of america.

Actually the mailings are another way the union is selling us out...... selling our names and addresses with out our consent.
I don't know for certain, but I doubt the Teamsters Union actually sells our names and addresses.

Normally when one organization "rents" their membership list to another, all they do is allow a one-time indirect access. (Though they may do this again and again, hoping to wear you down.) The list is sent to a trusted third-party mailing company that prepares the envelopes and mails them without shareing the list with the soliciting company or anyone else. So only the Teamsters would have your name and address. Unless you actually responded to the solicitation.

Sending back an unsolicited mailing in the convienent, postage-paid return envelope is the time-honored way of letting the soliciting company know you don't want their offer, and don't want any future offers either. It cost them money to pay the return postage. That's why some only include a postage-paid return postcard. Or just an envelope, with no postage affixed. It's cheaper.

The point is I did not join the union to receive solicitiations that I did not request. There should be a way to "opt out" of receiving this crap.

...and people wonder why I am not active in the Union...
That's not why!!! I'll buy anyone a D&D gift card if they can tell me the real reason you are not active in the union. Besides that you lack union knowledge. There is only one true reason. Let's begin. The first person to answer correct wins!!!
