It seems to me that no matter who is in office, the union is still there. And by the way, the Republicans do support unions. They don't support some of the stupid ideas that come from them. What I don't get is how you can espouse that because we're part of the union, we should vote democrat. You have your facts wrong, for the majority of us, we work for UPS and they are organized so we have to be part of the union. Don't get me wrong, I love being a member of this union and I appreciate the benefits and the wage, but no president is going to get rid of the union. You can believe all of those conspiracies if you want, but the union is not going anywhere. Everyone with a brain knows that if we get rid of the union, we may as well work for Walmart cause it's easier and it pays the same. So why this fear of Republicans getting rid of the union? Just because they want corporations to succeed? You work for one. Is it so bad that they should succeed? Most companies can't afford to provide everything the union wants. We get much more than fair compensation except for maybe the drivers. I think the drivers get what they deserve. UPS has the highest paid positions for people with no skills whatsoever except a strong mind and body. A driver gets paid more than most people do with a 4 year degree. So, I love my company, I love my union, but couldn't disagree more that Obama would do more for the American middle class than McCain could.
