  1. If my truck does not have working telematics would it affect my over/under at all?

    No.

Over/under is based on your performance against your planned day.

  3. So nothing with the truck will affect the numbers at all is what you are telling me?

If you're not on the telematics reports.......consider yourself lucky.

I think it's a useless report unless you are going to act on the safety items it identifies.

I will agree that most of the measured metrics are worthless; however, there is no excuse for recording in travel or seatbelt violations.

Over/under is calculated through miles, stops, packages and anything put in other work.

    ...COD's, Over 70's, Special A, signatures, etc...

The time allowance for all of those is tiny. Not enough to turn a 2 hours over to scratch.

Also we don't have a line for signatures. Your areas are broken down and time is removed for every driver release package.

    CODs are 3 minutes each.

I agree that the time allowances are negligible.

I still can't figure out how he is allowed to go on road w/o Telematics.

I think not all routes show up on the report to improve the numbers.

You might have a point. I have noticed that while all car numbers are listed there are certain ones that show "device error".

    cosmo1 Just another internet hooligan.

You may want to double-check that. At one time they were, but I believe the time changed quite a few years ago.

Why do you concern yourself with reports that don't concern you?

  16. Thanks for the responses.
my truck has not had telematics since June of last year. My report shows up blank

Some of the old trucks mostly used as spares don't have telematics installed. If you drive one of those don't worry about it.

Same goes for when you drive a rental with no telematics.
