The amount UPS paid for my health insurance dropped by $11000.00 from 2013 to 2014

That’s Craptacular
I don't have the paperwork in front of me. But, mine dropped significantly too from ~$14,800 to ~$6,500.

And, yes, my health plan changed significantly. But, not for the better because my out-of-pocket costs have increased dramatically.

I'm still trying to locate a new eye doctor - who is worth a darn and will take the new insurance.

My dentist is trying to work with me. But, It's not looking good.
Teamcare issues?

Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.
You've gotta look for the good in the situation and make the best of it.
Especially if you're wrong. Lol
(I never try to let the facts confuse me when I'm mad too.;))
What am I wrong about?
And as for a sense of humor, that was a sad attempt at a joke. Nobody where I work got freight ballots, so how was I suppose to figure out a joke that was only funny to you and a couple of others.

Mine too. I have to locate a new eye doctor because mine will now charge me $75 for a contact lens exam when before it was free.
I guess I'll have to shop for an optometrist after 20 years with the same guy. I hope they are not all going to tell me it's $75 for just the exam.

The ballot screwup was well publicized but you evidently didn't see it. It was a sarcastic joke.

I never said you were wrong. I was admitting my own human failures.

Our plan diminished except for short term disability pay.

We changed doctors and were pretty hacked off too. We're making the best of it.

There was absolutely NO guarantee that our existing plan was going to remain at the same level of coverage even if the company was still netting 4-5 billion.

Healthcare costs are rising.

You right. I had the same plan for over 25 years. Same coverages except for a few minor modifications throughout that whole time. No major improvements either.
The company that I break my back for has been profitable in all quarters except 1 (and that was their fault) in those 25 plus years.
Why shouldn't it have been improved?

Evidently, our union leaders think we're spoiled whiners. I was told that before the second vote in the Central one BA told members in his local that if they didnt accept this contract that they we're "over paid cry babies".

Is this the prevailing attitude of our representation? Maybe...maybe not. But it was a surprise look into the healthcare plans of locals in our own state that were MUCH worse than ours until this contract "ratified". We thought everyone was on the same plan in our state.

So, for now, I'm trying to make the best of it and be thankful for what we have. That's the only way to keep myself from being agrivated for losing the best ocular specialist and dentist in our area.

Life goes on.

P.S. I saw a guy on the street on crutches dragging his lifeless legs that were strapped together so he had support on the crutches and my father in law just had an orange sized tumor cut out of his brain in November.

I think I've got it pretty good. I walked into this room to post this without crutches and not on oxygen. Life is pretty good brother.

75 every 2 years. Rough. Do you except donations?

Means my insurance got worse. When should I complain according to you? When they cut pension contributions? When they cut our pay? When?
Out of that 4-5 billion net profits I wonder how the pie slices in the realm of package, logistics, freight and other services goes.

I could be wrong but if those details were presented and it was shown that package wasn't the highest profitability category and/or relatively flat to modest growth maybe we could compare apples to apples and say "hey, we are doing OK considering the lions share wasn't in packages" or we'd say "hey, leggo of my Eggo" and have a right to be hacked off even worse for being sold out.

Where's the numbers?

I am not looking at just their profitability numbers. I am looking at my center with less than 80 drivers and at any 1 time we have 11 drivers on workman's comp. This can be a very brutal job with lots of dangers and massive wear and tear on the body. No way am I going to accept less for this job while they are racking up the profits.

But guys like brownmonster ARE willing to accept less. And be grateful about it.

If your insurance is less than before by being more expensive and you continue to show up for work, by definition you are "accept(ing) less for this job while they are racking up profits."

No offense but 11 out of 80 on workers comp? If that's going on then I'd be following every single me of you guys if I was the boss. Those guys and girls sound like special needs people with that.
