We dont know because the wierdo who made the movie DOESNT WANT to release his PRODUCTION COSTS. But, movies are not cheap, and 1 million dollars would be a cheap estimate. This movie, because of the travel involved, most likely put it closer to 5 million dollars.

That would mean its losing approx.. 3 million dollars so far.

The movie will get yanked after this weekend. Moving downward in the rankings behind C rated movies doesnt bode well for its survival. started 44th now at 46th.... sounds morelike the romney campaign.

As I stated on a different thread I saw 2016 on Friday in what is a very blue state. It was the first showing and the movie theatre was packed.

At the end of the documentary a majority of the people in attendance stood up and loudly applauded.

I feel that it was presented in a fair manner , backed with many facts and even reported that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii.

It presented a very clear account of Obama's early life that of course would have a huge impact on his thought process and actions of today. For example -- the historical facts of the British Empire and Kenya.

I believe that if a real liberal saw the documentary they would have no problem and agree on the theory and would also agree that Obama should be re-distributing wealth.

2016 is beautifully shot and edited, as you would expect from a film that is produced by the same guy, Gerald Molen, who produced such movies as Rain Man, Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List. It is actually entertaining, a quality not achieved by every documentary. Dinesh D’Souza, who appears frequently and is the principal narrator (Barack Obama is the other narrator) is a likable figure, and the similarities and contrasts he draws between himself and Obama are revealing and effective. It would be a great thing if many millions of people see 2016, as it would tell most people a great deal that they do not already know about our president. Here is the trailer:
