Brett, I can agree with you on this point "Whether you want to admit or not, Bush got the ball rolling in the search for OBL" Where our thoughts separate however is what happened after he "got the ball rolling". As I wrote and pointed out, Bush's original claims turned out to be false in two wars, and his "search" for Bin Laden was abandoned a year and a half after it started for a war in Iraq. During his 6 years in control of our military missions, many CIA, NSA , FBI and other spies QUIT his administration when they felt the mission had ignored Bin Laden and transitioned into nation building for oil. As early as 2004, our spies provided information that Bin Laden was in Pakistan, YET BUSH did not invest one dime into that information. His insistence as well as Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice was that Bin Laden was in a cave in Afghanistan. Dick Cheney says: http://youtu.be/4nX-KQbYXnk Rumsfeld says: http://youtu.be/FGhGHxw0mSo I challenge anyone on this board to post a link or show a document where anyone in the BUSH adminstration talked or planned to do anything in pakistan. Giving Bush credit for this capture is laughable at best. NONE of his intelligence chiefs are even in place at this time. None of the spies used by bush are currently in theatre. Its seems really desperate by republicans to try and give Bush credit for something he clearly failed to do. President Obama made, probably the toughest decision by any president in the last 50 years. Pure guts. No nonsense. No weapons of mass destruction, no taliban strongholds, no caves, no mountains... HE JUST ATTACKED another country without warning, violated their airspace, and went in to the middle of a military compound and killed public enemy #1. Plain and simple. No waterboarding, No harsh interogations, No black sites. Even Donald Rumsfeld and John McCain put those claims to rest. So dont bother going there. At the end of the day, Obama did what all the repulicans Hawks could not do, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Peace
