Maybe one day people will learn what free market truly means and how this is not such a case.

No intervention means absolutely no intervention at all and in the true meaning of the french word Laissez faire, in the case of the market place, "LET DO!"

I think most people already know we live in a Socialist society/country. It's just a matter of degree.

In regards to subsidies, I am sure there is abuse but the alternative would be shortages. Even Obama with his expansive world view is not going to hurt the US just so farmers in Africa can be more prosperous.

I agree most people realize we live in a "socialist society/country" and truth be told, man has always lived in some type social order. But as you said, "most people" acknowledge this meaning a "few people" don't and it's those whose chains it's pure sport to jerk on!
:wink2:

I wonder if we had all the facts, transparency was a true open book and we applied root cause faliure analyst to all things in our socio/economic order as we know and have it today, I do wonder if we could handle the truth and the utter destruction of ideals on all political sides? What does that say about the society we've created when the literal truth would rip it all down in an instant? The greatest good and the greatest harms in society are the destruction of it's myths!

Speaking of more intervention, read this today! I guess if you're gonna cartelize and benefit the so-called "to big to fall" in banking, automaker, healthcare, you might as well do the same for GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, et al. As the republican/democrat national plan moves forward, I wonder what industry is next to be cartelized and where does it end?

So in the spirit of true capitalism, anyone ready to tear up their IBT card and have the company truly unfettered?
