Three consective seasonal period driving equals full time driver job?

I'm in the KY area and have been with UPS for 3 and a half years, and work on the pre-load as a loader and air drive on Saturday. Typically in my center it takes an employee anywhere from 4 and a half to 7 years to attain a full time driver job. But we have had a few guys slide in front of a few guys because they drove their third consective seasonal period and that supposedly forced the company to quailfy them. Has anyone ever heard of this, I'm curious cause this seasonal period will be my second and just wondering if I should tough it out one more seasonal period in order to get full time job.

Call your local union hall. they are a much better source of information than anyone else. Every area in the country has some unique work rules. go to the source
