I must mention my one & only horse betting experience. We were showing visiting relatives around SoCal and we went to Del Mar race track.
I try to bet on the horses using 2 things....the name and the color.
I like the gray colored ones. There was a gray running in one race who was named Jimmy Hoffa. I bet on him to win......he had all the signs, the color and my hubby was a teamster at one time too.

The horse fell halfway through the race, had to be put down because of a broken leg.

That was my last horse race! True story
