Ashley Guindon, a female police officer in Virginia, was sworn into the department on Friday and was killed while on duty the next day. She had responded to a domestic incident along with two other officers. All three of the officers were shot during the call.

Such a tragedy so young in her career just trying to serve the public and some doofus decides to take her away from her family, friends and brothers and sisters in blue. My deepest condolences.

Seems like a dangerous call to be out on for your first day on duty

We were driving home from a friend's place Saturday night and noticed an awful lot of police cars in Prince William, got home and and saw this on the news. Just from reading about it she seemed liked a genuinely decent person who got into police work for all the right reasons, what a terrible thing to happen on your first day at work and I can't imagine how her family must feel. Such a shame.
