Transferring out of district full time?

This will be my 25th year with the company, 13 years PT, 12yrs driving. Need to get from Missouri to Florida, wife is taking a job and need to be closer to my folks one of which is health it deteriorating.

What are my options? I've basically have been told I have to quit and start all over so far? Am I screwed?

Because I albosutely hate my job always have never really asked around. There's plenty things I dont know nor care to. I show up do the work go home.

She'd be making more $$$ than I and FLA>>>>MO, its real simple really

My wife makes more than double what I make. I still wouldn't quit and move wherever if she found a new job. This job pays too good to just give it up.

No, you would not lose your pension as you are vested after 5 years.

You wouldn't lose your pension your vested. You need to contact you pension fund and find out what you would get When you where able to start taking it.
