Transferring?

I work at a warehouse and i want to transfer to a closer warehouse. I asked my supervisor but he said i have to wait a whole year. If there is a job opening at the warehouse do i still have to wait a year?

I am not sure about the waiting period but I think the only reason for transfer is because of school. At least that is the only reason I have ever seen anyone transferred.

The only way your going to be able to tranfer is if your going to school near the other building and they have an opening other wiase your have to quit and try to get rehired. However if you quit you run the chance of being put on the No-rehire list.

If the other building is in the same local there might be a chance to transfer however that is a long shot. If it is in the same local than you need to read your local rider and see if transfer are covered under it.
