But it is our company the revenue is ours and the bonuses are ours. The union workers have no claim on anything. They are just hired help. Union workers are just rentals. Management has a vested interest in the company.

Wow...it's funny how UPS Center's acroos the country run without management but not without the drivers.

If you're not carrying cardboard then I'm carrying you...

Well thanks for carrying me.... Do you think you could carry me a couple more years until I retire. Oh that's right, you have to. You keep working, I'll keep coming up with crazy ideas to save costs, and we will both keep getting PAID. The only difference is I experiment with human beings for a living, you actually do work.

Sometimes but what difference does it make. I still get paid. I still get my raise every year (except for last year) I still get boatloads of stock. The difference between us is when you make a mistake you get written up, when I make a mistake I get a raise..

It's a total kick in the crotch. They didn't even tell us. We had to ask. Jim Casey probably rolled over in his grave.

The new UPS is nothing like what Jim Casey dreamed it would be, and I like it more than ever... You want a kick in the crotch, wait until 2010 when part timers are fighting to get 3 hours and 31 minutes...... This volume is going to drop and so is the pay day...

It's not personal, it's just business.

I hate it when people write this kind of crap. It is personal. People don't work at UPS for the "fun" of it. They do it to make a living or to provide benefits for their family.

SO IT IS VERY PERSONAL.... always remember that.

I think it is easy to narrow down who UPSSOCKS is. Overseeing 382 employees would make him a sort manager, anyone lower would oversee fewer hourlies.

So he can be 2, maybe 3 people if oak creek has a Day sort..

Assuming he is being honest about managing that many people.

Progression since 2007 hire date:

2007 - pallets of frozen turkeys in the yard. Merry Christmas!

2008 - here's a certificate for a free turkey. Merry Christmas!

2009 - nothing. Actually I just miss the "I Survived Peak" t-shirt. :dissapointed:

Really can't complain. Just sad to see a tradition go away.

I really doubt he is being honest about anything:wink2: He's just his centers company comedian with a warped sense of humor.

Agree with Rod and I still have my doubts that he/she is even a friend/T management person.

I enjoy the wretched humor but I challenge him/her to come up with a few more good one-liners ... seems to be getting a little stale and losing steam on coming up with new insults.

UpSocks, by definition, is a teamster troll.

No doubt about that.

Well that's what management is all about. It has nothing to do with who does more. I am in management because I like being the boss. I like to tell people what to do. What you don't understand is I am responsible for what 382 teamsters do on a daily basis. So who does more. You might deliver, load, or unload 1,000 packages, but I am responsible for 235,000 of them. For that I get a bonus, for that I use my company amex card to buy as many turkeys as I want. I would love to switch positions with you for a quarter. Think about all of the people you work with, now every time one of them does something wrong I am coming after YOU. That's my world.

You're in management for the wrong reasons, I can't wait for my panel interview (hopefully) next week. Very sad we didn't get turkeys this year but say 10 dollars times roughly the 600 employees in three centers that i know of is 6000 saved. So to each his own i guess.

At least I enjoyed the certificate in 2008 :)

I was once just like you if you pass your panel get a hold of me in about 15 years. Then we'll see what reasons you are in management for. FYI the turkeys cost about 1.75 a piece...

'Personally', I sure hope Santa brings you a turkey since it seems to mean soooooo much to you!!

Like someone else said it is sad to see a tradition go away. I've worked at UPS 20+ years.

Somethings should just be left alone. Plain and simple.

I certainly can afford to buy my own turkey - that is not the issue... it's about tradition.

You can be anybody you want to be on the internet. I fly jets on the weekends when I am not covering shifts in the E.R. or running my VERY successful business that I can not disclose anything about.
