What is so sad is no one says anything other than those accused of being
"TEA PARTY" oh my... Lions, Tigers and Bears....

May G_d have mercy on us and show his light into our hearts as a country, and take
the veil away of from our blindness of what is occuring to us.

Shalom,

Moreluck,

Being the inquisitive person I am, I read your article, and said 'wow, maybe she has something here, this cant be true.' So I grabbed one particularly onerous sounding point: 7. Political-speech disclosure for federal contractors. This really sounds like you'd need to be a Democrat, or at least not pro Republican in order to get a govt contract. That sucks.

So I looked that up, sure enough, that's what Obama wants. Here's why:
Republicans Push Back On Obama Plan To Force Disclosure Of Political Contributions | TPMDC

The only problem with the logic is that, up until early 2010, federal contractors and all businesses had to disclose their political activity. Before the Supreme Court’s landmark Citizen’s United ruling, federal contractors and all companies that donated or spent money on elections were forced to set up a political action committee and disclose their campaign finances to the Federal Election Committee.

The Citizens United ruling lifted most of those rules — all companies and unions can donate unlimited amounts of money straight from their treasuries — and they don’t have to report it to anyone. Democrats are trying to force at least a level of disclosure so voters can track those special interests attempts at influencing elections.

So unless you have a real, specific example that can be shown to be unconstitutional, and is not considered 'past practices', these threads only go to shown a position that is only defensible with partisan cartoons.

BTW -- Mitt thinks you're a freeloader.

In the "welfare" numbers is social security and medicare. That's a fact.

It doesn't matter that you paid into it your entire life. Romney's right. No sense going after my vote, he's already got it.

Too bad you only could pick out one that you didn't like........the fact the he walks over the constitution like a rug seems OK with you. Keep trying to justify him being in that job.

Once again, please give me one example that is proven of his rampart disregard for the Constitution. I picked out one at random thought I thought looked really bad for Obama, and it was a pile of crap. You pick one now, just one out of the list.

There are plenty and it was commented when he did it...like those appointments he didn't feel like running in front of congress, so he just slipped them in!
I'm not doing your research.

Past practice, totally legal. Next.

You see, the big difference is my opinions are based on fact, yours seem to be based on propaganda. Whatever works for you.

Republicans tried to prevent recess appointments by keeping the Senate in pro forma session over the holiday break, but the White House said that maneuver is meaningless.

Big words and reasoning here:
The Volokh Conspiracy Recess Appointment of Richard Cordray Despite Pro Forma Sessions

tl;dr version:
One of the most important documents on the scope of the Recess Appointments Clause is the report the Senate Judiciary Committee issued on the question in the wake of President Theodore Roosevelt’s decision to make recess appointments during a truly brief gap between two sessions of Congress. That report likewise advocated a practical interpretation that focused on the ability of the Senate to perform the advise and consent function.
It was evidently intended by the framers of the Constitution that [“recess”] should mean something real, not something imaginary; something actual, not something fictitious. They used the word as the mass of mankind then understood it and now understand it. It means, in our judgment, . . . the period of time when the Senate is not sitting in regular or extraordinary session as a branch of Congress, or in extraordinary session for the discharge of executive functions; when its members owe no duty of attendance; when its Chamber is empty; when, because of its absence, it cannot receive communications from the President or participate as a body in making appointments.

If it were illegal it would have been overturned.

Next.

If republicans really cared, they could have kept Congress in session. They all could have sat there and looked at each other.
