Union Politics - The Carhaulers vote on a CONCESSIONARY contract is today! 10/15/2015

The Carhaulers, one of three industries on National Master Agreements will vote on the concessionary contract that Junior agreed to with the industry today.

The contract represents 12,000 very angry carhaulers. The vote NO movement is headed by Teamsters United Candidates: Fred Z, John T, Bill friend and Tony J along with thousands of rank-and-file carhaulers.

The results are not in but reformers nationwide are hoping to deliver Junior another upper-cut to the jaw for his failure to negotiate a strong contract!

Information coming out of Washington is that voter turnout is high when speaking of Teamsters participation. 49% of the 12,000 ballots mailed were returned. Many people received their ballots yesterday and were not able to return them back in time for today's vote. Over 5800 ballots were returned and more than 3,000 were from Local 89 members (Fred Z's home local).

Many members are optimistic the awful deal will be rejected and sent back to the table.

87% is a resounding victory for Teamsters United. awful's home local (299) also voted against the concessionary TA as did many other OG locals.

The vote No movement is well and alive.

Local 651 in Lexington KY had nomination meetings last Saturday. They will be the next local awful will lose to reformers next month. Big carhaulers and freight local. I wonder why that OG ran local is going reform?
