Ask him if he understands how to file a grievance. Then ask him who the alternative steward is.

The good news is, you'll soon have another chance to file your 9.5 grievance. Give it to your alternative steward.

You need to have a conversation with your BA and the steward.

Just to review, your Local procedure. People make mistakes.

Sad.... but true.

Why would you hand it to the steward and not your center manager as you are suppose to do?

Local procedures. You should know this.

There should always be 3 copies of a grievance. One to turn in, one goes to union, and one for you to keep. And you should punch it with time clock to mark when it was filed.

See how things vary ??

In my Local.... its 4 copies.

Local, company, Steward, and Grievant.

We dont have mechanical time clocks anymore

Our supplement requires the company to maintain them.

Comes in handy for punching grievances.

He's human, :censored2: happens, move on. If it continues to happen then talk to BA. If that doesn't go anywhere then why don't you dedicate your personal time and run to be the next shop steward.
