UPS building new facility in Calgary - Atlanta Business Chronicle

United Parcel Service Inc. will spend $26 million to build a new distribution center at the Calgary International Airport in Canada to meet growing demand in the area.

UPS Canada, a unit of Atlanta-based UPS (NYSE: UPS), will use the 150,000-square-foot distribution facility to import, export and carry Canadian domestic shipments. UPS noted a 60 percent increase over the past five years in the volume of orders from the greater Calgary area, particularly from the retail, technology and financial sectors.
