UPS dealt legal blow by Supreme Court - Seeking Alpha

• The Supreme Court says it won't hear an appeal by UPS after the company claimed a lower court improperly aggregated multiple shipments in determining that the company transported more than 10K untaxed cigarettes in violation of federal law. UPS also contended that it didn't violate a 2005 settlement with New York.
• The decision by the high court leaves intact a $100M award won by N.Y. state and city in a suit over shipments of contraband cigarettes from Native American reservations to consumers.
