UPS driver dies in morning crash - Kokomo Perspective

Preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Randy Pryor revealed that Robert L. Bozell, 53, Tipton, IN, was driving a 1998 International semi-tractor, pulling two box style trailers, southbound on U.S. 31. For an unknown reason, the semi-tractor traveled into the grass median and struck a concrete pillar which supports an overpass carrying State Road 14 over U.S. 31. Bozell was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Coroner Darin Beeker. Bozell was wearing a seat belt but the impact from the crash was too severe for it to prevent his death.

The semi-tractor was registered to United Parcel Service (UPS). The trailers contained various consumer items which were picked up at a UPS center in Chicago, IL. The load was destined for a UPS center in Kokomo, IN.
