isn't Flagging when your customer puts out a sign "flag" on a pick up to tell you if they have anything…is VERBOTTEN here

That's a flag pickup stop and there is a reason why they are frowned upon. 9 times out of 10 the system works as designed but there is that 10th time when the shipper puts the "Yes" sign out after the driver has already gone by.

A ghost pick up is an inactive pick up that is still in your board.
Here we call off or call in when absent.
Gravy is your easy stuff.
We have bid drivers and swing drivers.

This will get you fired in my center, especially when they do a check-in audit or when a customer calls in a concern for an undelivered package.
They will fire you here for this as well. If it's left in your truck by accident it's still a soaker but you get a warning. We have a good business agent who has a lot of clout. They don't try that stuff anymore.

The big box truck here are called BBT. (Big brown truck). We call off. You burn a pkg(no attempt). Flag stops were signs in window or other method of communication without stopping. Cake rtes.

Split routes are "Bingo loads". Big, cumbersome boxes are "bombs". Calling in sick is "banging in". Xmas helpers are "human handtrucks". A packed truck is "blown out"
