UPS getting service back to normal in hurricane damaged areas - Atlanta Business Chronicle

    United Parcel Service Inc.
has brought back package delivery service on a limited basis to most geographic areas ravaged by Hurricane Ike, it reported Tuesday.

Every UPS (NYSE: UPS) facility in the hurricane impact area went back on line Monday and is providing limited service. No facilities or delivery vehicles suffered any substantial damage from the storm, Atlanta-based UPS also noted. The company is trying to deliver premium air and ground packages where local authorities allow it.
