United Parcel Service Inc. may increase its dividend today, signaling confidence at the world’s largest package-delivery company that the global economic recovery is gaining momentum, analysts said.
UPS may raise the dividend to 52 cents from 47 cents, or 11 percent, according to a Bloomberg projection. UPS resumed its regular dividend increase last year after leaving the quarterly payout unchanged in 2009 amid the recession.
