UPS (NYSE:UPS) announced today that Cindy Miller has been promoted to president of global freight forwarding at UPS. Miller began her UPS career as a driver in Philadelphia, PA, in 1988. “The air freight industry is central to the development of trade and the global economy,” said Miller. “With a senior management team of more than 1,200 combined years of experience, customers can rely on UPS to partner with them on their global logistics needs. Prior to her current position, she served as president of the UPS region in Europe. Under her leadership, UPS achieved record growth and service levels across the region. Miller also directed key expansions in the Healthcare and Retail/B2C sectors, including the rollout of UPS My Choice and the UPS Access Point network. In addition, Miller oversaw multiple acquisitions and the opening of new or expanded facilities across Europe, including France, Austria, Poland, and Germany.
