Code 06 means you have your 8 hour guarantee, Meaning that if you clock out and did not work 8 hours, you will be paid 8 hours.

The alternative is 05. You will be paid only for the hours worked. You have to agree to this though. They cannot force you.

Your amount of lateness or excuse doesn't mean jack. If you are late then you are late. And if you are late you forfeit your guarantee of 8 hours pay. The only way it would show you as not late is if you changed your scheduled start time in the DIAD and if you change that without permission from management you could be fired for dishonesty and/or stealing time.

Dishonesty, yes. Not really stealing time. If you're 5 minutes late and you change your start time to the time you clocked in, you're not stealing time. You're not being paid for the 5 minutes that you were not there.

Semantics. You will still most likely be terminated.

We need you to jump once you reach 14 hours and can no longer drive.
