UPS Plane - Fire in Cargo Area

It wasn't a meath lab on board. The co-pilot tossed his roach in the back when he thought it was un-lit.

Anyway.... it was a laptop computer's battery that heated up. This was a cause of another plane's dimuise. The NTSB was given two unused scale houses to make as temperary shelters for investigating the accident. I've seen a couple of emergency landings. One in particular had to due with boken landing gear. One pilot used a window to climb out of, the other two used the emegency slide. The DC-8 is one of the most common used planes that come into Philly.

The plane was cut up and hauled away about 2 months ago.

I thought they would put some new aluminum on the burnt areas, repair it and put it back into service like some of the package cars we've had for 30 years.
