UPS Poker Tournament

I am looking for other poker players who work or are retired from UPS who may be interested in networking and playing poker tournament on either Full Tilt or Poker Stars on Sunday evenings. If you are interested just let me know, I can set it up as a free event and then post rankings if we want to do it every week. If anyone is interested just let me know.

The first tourney will take place in two weeks, and I will send everyone the password, we will run it as a freeroll and I will put up my own money to the winner!

I play on full tilt for play money, I am not that good of a player and I don't trust website gambling for real money. I have a few friends that do it but I just never have.

Re-Raise says hmmmm. I play live poker a couple nights a week, My wife told me a couple of weeks ago I can play every night when I am divorced. (subliminal message there me thinks)

Never played online. Some of the guys I play with at the casinos say it is geared for action and I believe that to be a very real possibility.

By that I mean the hands could be programmed for large pots every so often rather then a random 52 card deck. For example a video poker machine runs on a similar type program. The site benefits when the amount of money running through the game and in turn their rake increases.

They could easily program 2 sets on the flop and then quads for the under set forcing all the money to go in no matter who is in the pot. I dont say they favor one player over another, just action.

Off my conspiratorial soap box now, I may still play.

There in lies my distrust, I just didn't know how to put it in words.
LOL, if we had a "Thank You" button I would push it.

I'm in. Love to play. I use to play a lot online but enjoy live poker much more. It's such a pain now to get money on and off the sites.

Yeah, I thought real money on-line poker was outlawed too, or is that something the All-wise, All-knowing Saviour Obama is going to give back to us.

Will we have different tables for the mgm't types? My sup lies so well, I'd never be able to see his tells. (Oops, I meant bluffs)

Count me in.

You can still gamble with real money, all you have to do is use a debit card or check card. Credit cards will no longer work. So just go to your bank and get a prepaid card.

Sorry for the delay in a response from me, I had to make a last minute trip to be with my father and grandfather, my uncle passed away tonight very unexpected, and he was fairly young (57). Here is what I am thinking, we will just do a free tournament on Sunday evenings, lets say @ 1800 starting on the 22'nd on Full Tilt Poker. I will post the room name and password here as soon as I hear back from Full Tilt. This will be for bragging rights only, and if you all want to we can set it up weekly and post rankings in the forum and such.....it should make for a nice competition.

Just as a disclaimer here, just open an account on Full Tilt....No money required at all, just go to http://www.fulltiltpoker.net and download and register, you will then see the tournament and be able to play.

If anyone has a problem with Full Tilt let me know, they are the most generous, and won't charge for a private tournament.
