UPS Receives Special Package: 2009 President's Award - Occupational Health and Safety Online
Among the variety of prestigious awards the National Safety Council bequeathed during last week's Congress & Expo in Orlando, United Parcel Service was singled out as the sole recipient of the 2009 President’s Award. In bestowing the honor, the council said it was recognizing shipping and freight company's commitment to safety in the communities it serves.
NSC noted that UPS recently started the Road Code Teen Safe Driving Program, a four-week training program based on the company’s safe driving principles taught by some of the company’s best drivers. The course is currently offered through the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
