United Parcel Service Inc. spent $1.6 million in the first three months of the year lobbying the federal government on issues including climate change legislation and aviation safety rules, according to a disclosure report.
That's consistent with what the world's largest package delivery company spent both a year earlier and in the fourth-quarter of last year. UPS rival FedEx Corp. spent $3.9 million lobbying in the first quarter, more than twice as much.
