    UPS spent more than $1.3M lobbying gov't in 1Q - Forbes

    UPS Inc., the world's largest shipping carrier, spent more than $1.3 million in the first quarter to lobby on Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization, aviation technology and safety, and renewable energy, according to a recent disclosure form.

    The Atlanta-based company also lobbied on climate change legislation, a work force investment bill and free trade issues. UPS, also known as United Parcel Service, is a big supporter of expanded trade between the U.S. and other countries.
