UPS trucks will soon be rolling in Halifax - Chronicle Herald

Global courier giant United Parcel Service, Inc. will have its trademark brown trucks on the ground in Atlantic Canada this spring.

UPS will take over its own pickup and delivery services in Moncton and Halifax with other cities in the Maritimes added to the network later in 2012.

The multimillion-dollar regional expansion is expected to create 250 new jobs, the company said.

Für Meno :)
As far as I see it, there aren't any new jobs created, but jobs losses.
Since all UPS will do is take-over the existing contract routes, and have drivers working 12-13 hr days ,like they do everywhere else, and actually eleminate current routes ( Three 8 hr routes become 2).
