VEGAS..

I am not a gambler by any means. I might dump a few bucks into the slots, but 20 bucks is a lot for me. Just alot of sight seeing and relaxing. The paris looks nice. www.teamstervacations.com seems to be a fairly cheap sight to shop on.
Book your hotel and air together on Expedia.com They beat everyone else 80% of the time. I'm going to Vegas in January. Been there 8 times. Love it. Buffets for dinner range from $7.99 to $39.99 Depends on where you go. Look online. Plenty of sites have Vegas buffet pricing lists. It's not cheap anymore. Excalibur has great breakfast buffets for a reasonable price.
Advice......use the monorail. Buy a pass. You'll get killed on cab rides if you don't.

Hey klein, thanks for the info on the ebay deals. I e-mailed both people at the wyndam and The Signature. Only The Signature has replyed so far, and he gave me a price of 730 for the week all taxes and everything included. With airfare from Buffalo at 240 roundtrip per person, I think this is the one. It looks great. Thank You for the heads up.
I'm staying 4 days/nights at New York, New York. Hotel/airfare/taxes/fees for 2..... total from Chicago $705. Expedia.com
The Signature is a very nice hotel though.

All the pictures are fine, but you sleep in a bed maybe 8 hrs. and need a shower. You are hardly ever in your room. I am a gambling person, so I never take advantage of pools, spas, etc whatever else they offer. Give me a big casino and a bed with a bathroom and feed me and I'm happy.
We never pay for rooms or food while we are in Vegas....all is comped.

The Tam'O'Shanter used to be the cheapest place on the strip...but they rent by the hour now!!
My girlfriend and I do more than sleep and shower in the room. lol.

Actually, my trick is, to use Expedia to do the search, and Travolocity, Cheapoflights, etc.

Then take those cheap flights they came up with... and go to the airline website directly.
And it's cheaper on the airline website !

Basically, I just use those searches, as a form of where to book at !
Works everytime !
And saves me even more.

Give it a try !

If I were to book my flights direct with the airline it would have been
$695. I combined hotel/airfare on expedia and got it for $705. That's $10 extra for the hotel. Packages are better on Expedia. I understand just airfare might be better on the airline site.

You guys really have expensive airfare.
Gee, I flew from Edmonton (western Canada) over 4000 miles (8 hrs flight time total for less then $500 with taxes ).And thats return !

Now, I'm planning a cancun/florida trip, again 8 or 9 hr flight. $275 each way. (with taxes).

Got my hotel on e-bay (luxery villa suite), normally $275.00 + taxes per day.
I'm getting it for under $500 per week.

Thats how I travel.

Any additional people I may invite (it sleeps 8), only need to pay airfare.
(it's a double "locked-in" suite).

Ok Klein, sit down and hold on to something. I don't want you to fall down and hurt your head. I actually agree with you on this. I know, I know. It's a shock. :faint:

Oh Klein, it just baffles me that you haven't been swept up by some pretty young thing yet.

Maybe a little senoritta in Mexico this time ? LOL
But, I always make the mistake, inviting my aunt (she lives in Ft Lauderdale), and actually invited her to Cancun with me (she's 68 yrs old).
But, a nice lady, and even nicer for putting up with me for 4 weeks ! LOL

So, it's a bit payback this time, for her nice hospitality.

Does anyone else in here think that $705 is too much for 2 people round trip from Chicago to Vegas with 4 nights stay at New York New york taxes fees included for mid January? Holy crap....IT'S FREE DUDE! Do the math.
