In Flanders Fields has always been one of my favorite poems, here's the whole thing:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

The Pat Tillman Story looks like an interesting movie.

Jones,

I was wanting to see that movie but it's getting such limited distribution. Netflix? I've heard some say the movie leaves as many unanswered questions as it answers and that may be a reflection of the reality of the situation. Mary Tillman, Pat's mom has written a book, "Boots on the Ground by Dusk" and I've heard it's a must read. I'm also going to read Jon Krakauer's book on Tillman as well since I understand it inspired the documentary/movie.

A big salute to all those who served (even Upstate ---even though the Air Force is kind of the girly service) :-)

Heading to Applebees for my annual free steak dinner---(It usually costs me about 20 bucks because the wife tags along and hers isn't free.

doesnt matter

shouldnt be sending people to their deaths for oil / $$$

When you volunteer for military service its something you have to expect. If history teaches you anything its that there is never going to be a time there is ever going to be total peace. Not as long as there are religions. Oil is just a small cause

Not as much about religions as a country wanting what its neighbor has.
