You could wear your boots like I did when I was kid in the winter. Slip your socks on, then slip some bread bags over your feet and then slide your foot in the boot. Boom!! Waterproof!!

Is that where we got the name "loafers"?

Good gore tex boots keep my feet very dry during wet, slushy days. I had the gore tex lining fail on a pair of Rocky boots. I sent them back and they replaced them. Most gore tex linings are guaranteed for life.

Smart wool socks, with liner socks are the ticket for warm, comfy feet.

Years ago I bought a pair of Gore-tex socks , only wore them on really wet days .
Now with the weather getting colder , I use them every time a go out in the boat . Seems beside keeping my feet dry , they also stop the flies from biting my ankles while I'm hauling lobster traps .
